Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: ( 6 -8 hours Drive)
Arrival Bagdogra. Met by Sunshine Representative and transfer to Yuksum by shared jeep. This 6 hour journey would take you from the hot plains of Bagdogra in Bengal to Yuksum one of the most beautiful places. Sikkim is one state in the world which ranges from 400 meters to 8700 meters in matters of Kilomenters thus adding amazing versitality to scenery, flora and fauna. Yuksum is our halt for Day 01 as we prepare to climb up the Dzongri . o/n Hotel Yuksum

Day 02: Yuksum ( 1770 meters) to Sachen ( 2200 meters) 4-5 hours :
Though most of trekkers do Tshoka in one day SHA tours do not do that due to acclimatization purpose so that the body becomes used to the altitude . We climb slowly as we enter into the Kunchunga National Park leaving Yuksum behind on a path frequesnted by fellow trekkers and Yaks. Sachen at 7,200 feet is a small clearing where a single log hut and a shelter on the trail exist. The log hut a few meters below the trail. The hut has room enough for about 6-7 and a small area to cook. For a larger team look for the clearing just above the trail opposite the shelter. The Prek, is many feet below Sachen and not visible to the eye, though you can hear it faintly rushing below.o/n Saty in tents

Day 03: Sachen ( 2200 meters) to Tshoka (3050 meters) : 4 to 5 hours
The second day of the trek takes you through beautiful jungles upto a bridge and from where the climb starts right uptil Dzongri Top. Bakhim has a lovely tea stall where the owner dishes out some snacks as well. With a well deserved rest start your climb to Tshoka. Follow the trail just behind the Forest Rest House. The trail again climbs in a series of long switchbacks, overlooking Bakhim until forty minutes later it dives around a ridge to move to the other side of the hill. Once we reach Tshoka we will venture out in the evening towards the monastery . Follow the trail as it leads out of Tshoka, cross the small wooden bridge over the pond and head to the monastery. It is a quiet place worthy of a quick visit. But what will take your breath away is the view of the snow clad peaks of the Kanchenjunga range stretching right behind you – with Mt Pandim dominating the skyline. For most trekkers this is the view of the day.

Day 04: Tshoka ( 3050 meters) to Dzongri 3990 meters) : 6 to 7 hours
A full uphill day leads us to Dzongri. This is one of the most beautiful days as we go through thick forests of the Rhodo flower also the state flower of Sikkim and Himachal. We have hot lunch enroute and continue on towards the famous site of Dzongri . Dzongri is a welcome sight for trekkers after the hard climb from Tshoka. At 12,980 feet trekkers feel the affect of altitude at the Dzongri meadows. Dzongri is a large cauldron, mostly meadows, surrounded in all directions by the mighty peaks of the Kanchenjunga range. In every direction is a snow peak to be looked at and admired. For most trekkers Dzongri is a reward on its own. Many finish their trek at Dzongri and head back the way they came.

Day 05: Dzongri ( 3990 meters) to Dzongri top ( 4300 meters) and to Thangsing ( 3050 meters) 8-9 hours
Today is a long day as we get up early to see the morning sun over the Kunchunjunga Peak and an amazing view of various moutntains like Pandim. After we have spent almost the entire morning starting from five in the morning to ten venturing into the sights of Dzongri we will make a hefty long walks to Thangsing o/n Camp

Day 06: Thangsing—Lampokhari Lake—Chamrey, 4300m, 16km

Day 07: Kasturi to Labdang village
This is the day where you have to cross over a 4700m pass to reach Kasturi. Actually, this is quite an interesting and long day of the trek and you will be sleepy by the time we setup camp!
